Job description

Location: London

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Country Lead Marketing with natural leadership and communication skills to join the FREENOW UK marketing team. A quick learner with a great work ethic, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

As the Country Lead Marketing in the UK, you will report to the Regional Head of Marketing and take ownership of marketing strategy and campaigns for both drivers and passengers, to drive our ambitious growth plans. Working in cross-functional teams, you’ll play a key role in building brand awareness and grow our market share while identifying opportunities to enhance business performance.

This role is perfect for a creative and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has an eye for detail, and excels in organization. You should be proactive, hands-on, and eager to take on challenges in a dynamic setting.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:
  • Develop a deep understanding of local business priorities (business targets, operational challenges, brand strategy, user needs).
  • Organise local marketing activities for both passenger and driver (Media booking, Social media, CRM communications, user acquisition and retention initiatives).
  • Develop a content strategy to drive continuous engagement with both passengers and drivers in the marketplace.
  • Manage external agencies such as digital marketing agency, PR agency, creative agencies, production companies and freelancers.
  • Identify uniquely local marketing opportunities aligned with business priorities (strategic priorities, major events, partnerships, seasonal moments etc) and deliver relevant campaigns or activations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (local operations, Digital Marketing, MPP, CRM Creative Hub, PR, Marketing Analytics) to set market priorities and action plans.
  • Work closely with local and central stakeholders to ensure well-integrated plans, budgeting, KPI measurement and reporting.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
  • 6+ years of experience in generalist marketing and communications, preferably in a fast-paced, app-focused tech environment.
  • Good relationship management as you will engage with local teams, central brand teams and partners across several different functions such as operations, PR and Public Affairs.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to bring the FREENOW brand to life in a way that is both consistent with our brand identity and culturally relevant to the local market.
  • A strong customer-centric approach, always considering how customers engage with and experience the brand.
  • Experienced in content strategy, content creation, social media, and PR, with the ability to own local content development across key touchpoints.
  • Ability to take initiative in a fast-paced, constantly-changing work environment.
  • Experience working with Media agencies.
OUR MINDSET & CULTURE:
  • We believe in launching, learning, and evolving continuously. Your passion for data-driven innovation will be key to our collective success.
  • We value the ability to wear multiple hats—from strategy development to hands-on execution—while thriving in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • A ‘get it done’ attitude is at our core. We’re problem solvers who overcome obstacles by finding creative and effective solutions.
  • Ambiguity doesn’t deter us. We embrace challenges with curiosity and determination, always pushing to discover better answers.
BENEFITS & PERKS IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • LinkedIn Learning
  • Sabbatical & special leave policies
  • WeRoad partnership
  • Birthday, 24th + 31st December off
  • Short term EU work policy
  • Mobility Credit
  • Health Insurance
  • Employee assistance program
