Legal Assistant

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join a leading housebuilders organisation where you will join the York branch as an Assistant Conveyancer and work alongside an expert team of new build conveyancers.

This role will see you handling a range of new build plot sales work to include, but will not be limited to:

• Preparing Engrossments
• Stamp Duty Land Tax
• Land Registry registrations
• Exchange and completion letters
• Conducting ID and AML checks

You will not have your own case load initially, but you will work closely with other conveyancers to assist with their workload and cover during annual leave and sick leave.

This is a fast-paced environment and the team works very collaboratively together. This is a rewarding role where you will be recognised for your contribution to the firm. Previous experience working within a residential property team is essential for this role, and it would be ideal if you had experience with new build or plot sales, but this is not mandatory.
