We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Engineer & Analytics Consultant with a background at Microsoft Gold Partner or Advanced Specialised businesses. This role is strictly for Principal/Senior Manager-level professionals who have led enterprise-scale Microsoft Analytics and Data Engineering projects. If you have extensive experience in Azure Data & AI solutions, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to play a key role in shaping a growing consultancy, we want to hear from you!

This opportunity is best suited for applicants from larger Microsoft-focused consultancies who want to become the practice-leading BI/Data Engineering technical resource within a small but growing consultancy business.

Who We’re Looking For:

We need an established Microsoft Data & AI expert with proven leadership experience at a Microsoft Gold Partner or Advanced Specialised business. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of technical expertise and client engagement skills, with a passion for solving complex data challenges using Microsoft technologies. If you have experience leading projects, driving pre-sales, and mentoring teams, this is the perfect opportunity to take ownership of a high-growth area within a thriving consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Microsoft Data & AI solutions for clients, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business goals.
• Lead pre-sales activities, including client consultations, solution demonstrations, and proposals.
• Engage with customers to understand their data challenges and provide expert guidance.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring successful outcomes and high client satisfaction.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, data analytics, and cloud technologies to drive innovation.
• Act as a trusted advisor, advocating for best practices in data engineering, analytics, and AI adoption.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance offerings and build strategic roadmaps.
• Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

What You’ll Bring:

• Extensive experience at a Microsoft Gold Partner or Advanced Specialised business.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure Data & AI platforms (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks and SQL).
• Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, including data modeling, ETL, and real-time processing.
• Experience with analytics solutions (Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar visualization tools).
• Hands-on proficiency in Python, SQL, or R for data processing and analytics.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch would be a bonus!
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Proven track record in delivering complex data projects and leading technical teams.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Scientist, or similar) are preferred.

Pay: £90,000.00-£120,000.00 per year + (Benefits, Bonus, Sales-assist and Share-scheme)
