Globe-Trotter is a truly global business trading in more than 80 countries, with significant brand awareness in Japan, Europe and the USA and an increasing footprint in the GCC, China and South East Asia.

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the stores performance and profitability, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Be an ambassador of the Globe-Trotter brand, proactively manage relationships with internal and external partners.
  2. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through the delivery of outstanding customer service, always aiming to exceed customer expectations.
  3. Create customer loyalty by capturing and adapting your advice to the individual customers’ needs and develop a strong relationship with each customer.
  4. Achieve sales budgets and appropriate cost control.
  5. Ensure store layouts are reflective of customer traffic flow to maximise sales, customer satisfaction, store presentation/appearance, image and ergonomics for customers.
  6. Support Store manager in planning rota cover for the store team including managing the holiday process, providing cover for other stores in their absence.
  7. Motivate and drive your team to achieve and exceed the sales targets.
  8. Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures and fabrics of shop premises.
  9. Assist the Store Manager alongside sales associates to support with the daily operations of the location. This will include handling of cash and any point of sale related operations as required.
  10. Support Store Manager in the communication and execution of company policies, procedures, initiatives and directives.
  11. Assist in the daily management of key holding responsibilities.
  12. Analyse sales report and KPIs with the Store Manager, collaborate in action plans definition, execution and follow up.
  13. Contribute to manage the visual displays of the products in accordance with Globe-Trotter visual standards and guidelines.
  14. Assist in the management of all stocks control in the store and keeping shrinkage levels below target.
  15. Work closely with the Store Manager, Operations and VM team to advise on product assortment and displays based on customer demographics/market.
  16. Support the Store Manager in assessing and improving individual performance and in identifying and developing talents.
  17. Maintain a leadership presence on the sales floor.
  18. Provide cover for the Store Manager in their absence.

Requirements of the role

  1. A strong understanding of Luxury retail and sales experience is essential.
  2. Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  3. Proven ability to lead an experienced and capable team.
  4. Experience in sales generation and managing the achievement of sales results.
  5. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
