An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Video Producer to join the team at Bauer Media Audio in Scotland at the home of Clyde 1 in Glasgow, the Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio Networks in Scotland.

Reporting into the Digital Editor, we are looking for an experienced Video Producer with an excellent knowledge of all aspects of video production, a strong shooter with a huge passion for postproduction.

Working with a hugely talented team, you’ll get the freedom to create and shape unmissable video content & on-going social benchmarks.

You’re a fast and effective editor that’s highly experienced in running shoots and dealing with a variety of talent!

You must understand Bauer’s Scottish radio brands and who they are targeting on social, as well as a strong knowledge of entertainment culture, football culture and a thorough understanding of the Scottish audience.

You’re a strong creative, with a sharp eye for detail who excels in bringing video concepts to life!

You understand how to deliver video content for social, and the content variations required between each social platform.

This will be an office-based position working between 12pm – 8pm (Mon – Fri) with occasional weekend work when required.

What you’ll be doing:

• Writing, producing and distributing content that is accurate, on-brand, up-to-date and appealing to the audience.
• Keeping up to date with the latest social media video editing trends and personalities, including emerging memes and cultural conversations.
• Editing short- and long-form videos for our social accounts and YouTube Channels.
• Assisting the social team to distribute content & schedule to assorted platforms.
• Project managing and directing video content creation in studio and on location.
• Managing video kit including lighting – ensure all kit is up to date and report any faults.
• Collaborating with our teams on digital best practices, creating exciting graphics, compelling edits, thumbnails that pop, repeatable formats and content that drives engagement, subscriptions and followers.
• If required, you can take the role of director or producer and ensure video content is of the highest quality and delivered to deadline.
• Assisting with Digital & Design aspects when required.

What You’ll Bring:

• Sound knowledge of camera, sound & lighting.
• Previous experience in editing and shooting, combined with an excellent understanding of all social media platforms, from a video POV.
• Sound editorial judgment with a passion for storytelling.
• The ability to work well with others and direct presenting and guest talent.
• A strong understanding of Bauer’s Scottish brands as well as a strong knowledge of Scottish Football and a thorough understanding of the Scottish audience.
• Knowledge of all social platforms.
• Talent for sound design.
• Ability to focus and follow through on priorities and deliver quality results.
• Comfortable using Mac.
• Storyboarding and scripting.
• Awareness of media law and Ofcom compliance.
• Awareness of Health and Safety requirements on shoots.
• General graphic and animation skills highly advantageous including Photoshop and After Effects.
• Pro-active, committed, quick thinking and able to work calmly under pressure.
• A team player at every level, and able to work with stakeholders to see a project through to completion.
