An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative and experienced Farm Manager to lead our diverse 3500-acre farm at Apley Estate, East Shropshire.
Apley Estate, an 8500-acre diversified rural estate, is committed to developing our environment, conserving our heritage, working with our communities and delivering sustainable long-term commercial enterprises.
Our in-hand farm is focused and committed to developing sustainable and regenerative farming practices, while implementing and managing an extensive higher tier stewardship agreement and SFI stewardship programme.
As the Farm Manager, you will oversee our arable and beef enterprises, manage our contracts with potato and salad growers and work alongside the Estate to drive the long-term strategy. To shape the future of the farm, strong leadership, team management and financial skills are essential to this role.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in farm management, a commitment and understanding of long-term improvements in soil health and an entrepreneurial approach to sustainable and regenerative practices are required.
