Designs, implements and directs a hospital-wide infection control program; surveys, analyzes, reports and records activities; sets standards and evaluates compliance for practices that are associated with the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections; complies with mandates of required accrediting and regulatory agencies and communicates pertinent information to the members of senior management and medical staff members.
