Freight Forwarding Manager - VR/30868

A leading logistics provider is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Manager to oversee and drive the growth of their Freight Forwarding Team. This role offers the opportunity to lead operational development, build customer relationships, and ensure compliance with all regulations in a dynamic industry. You will be a key player in expanding the project logistics service line and contributing to both operational and commercial aspects of the business. Hybrid working is available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and leading the Freight Forwarding Team, ensuring smooth operations and efficient service delivery.
• Driving the growth and improvement of the Freight Forwarding department, focusing on project logistics.
• Providing operational input to the Business Development Team, assisting with tenders and client proposals.
• Representing the company at industry events and conferences, contributing to both operational and commercial discussions.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation for both the company and its clients, maintaining industry standards.
• Providing high-quality customer service by responding promptly to customer enquiries and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Attending client meetings alongside the Customs Manager and other senior managers as required.
• Maintaining and managing client KPIs, ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Overseeing department cost management, including P&L forecasting and budgeting.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in Freight Forwarding, particularly with project logistics and dangerous goods.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring your approach to meet the needs of different stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with both clients and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail with a solutions-focused mindset, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in global freight forwarding operations, with a deep understanding of the logistics industry.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance standards, ensuring both internal and client requirements are met.
