Technical Director - Ecology

Birmingham

£55,000 - £60,000 plus benefits

We are keen to support this exceptionally talented group of multidisciplinary consultants, as they continue to expand their ecology group across the country.

In more detail, the role will cover all aspects of general ecological consultancy activities on a variety of projects throughout the UK. It is hoped that you will have experience leading and working on a wide range of projects.

As part of this role, you will lead a team of ecologists to deliver a wide range of projects to achieve profitable and sustainable growth, managing risk and opportunity en route, whilst achieving client satisfaction with the services provided and outcomes delivered. You will ensure checks and approvals are carried out for the work of others as appropriate.

Alongside the above, you will be expected to maintain and develop new client, stakeholder, and partner relationships to exploit market and business opportunities to support growth, delivery, and business sustainability whilst also managing macro risks.

You will ensure governance and oversight of the ecology business area to assure safe, efficient, and effective delivery of services will also be expected. Furthermore, you will demonstrate broad and deep knowledge of ecology and an understanding of its importance to the wider business, clients, and other organisations.

It is expected that you will be a graduate in Ecology or an Environmental related subject and be CIEEM qualified along with holding a current CSCS card and Protected Species Licence for Bats.

Your experience is most likely to have been gained over 15 or more years preferably within a consultancy environment. Expertise will also have covered a range of habitats and protected species.

Additionally, the ability to lead teams and continue developing client relationships and ensuring the group’s name remains a strong one in the marketplace.
