This individual will be responsible for overseeing the overall cloud infrastructure design, management, and administration, ensuring best practices in deployment, security, and cost optimization.

The Opportunity:

Cloud Infrastructure Design & Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements. Create and document detailed architecture diagrams, cloud infrastructure designs, and technical specifications for new projects or migrations to cloud. Lead the transition of legacy applications and infrastructure to cloud.

Cloud Administration & Management: Administer and manage cloud services to optimize cloud infrastructure. Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of cloud environments, including performance optimization, backup and disaster recovery, and compliance with internal policies.

Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, such as identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations (GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA). Perform regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability assessments for cloud infrastructure.

Infrastructure Automation & DevOps: Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Implement and configure monitoring tools to track the health and performance of cloud services.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align cloud infrastructure with application requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies, providing advice, best practices, and technical support to internal teams. Engage with business stakeholders to understand and address infrastructure needs, translating business requirements into cloud architecture solutions.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, policies, and procedures. Provide regular status reports on cloud infrastructure health, issues, improvements, and performance metrics to senior management.

What you need:

  • Key Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Security Specialty) are highly preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on cloud architecture and administration. Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure solutions, especially on Azure. Experience in cloud migration strategies, including moving on-premise workloads. Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, subnets, VPN, Direct Connect, etc.), security (IAM, KMS, security groups, NACLs), and cloud-native services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in cloud services and architecture design, including computing, storage, networking, security, and databases. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, including network security, identity management, and data protection.
