We are seeking an experienced Financial Risk Manager to join our dynamic team at a multi-jurisdictional bank regulated under both EU (CSSF) and UK frameworks. This role will be fast paced, dynamic and is crucial in managing and mitigating financial risks across capital, liquidity, market, and credit risk.

About the role
We are looking to hire a skilled Financial Risk Manager to join our dynamic Risk team in the London Office, reporting to the Head of Risk, UK.

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role where you have a strong background in risk management, having worked in a similar role for 3-5 years, within regulated financial institutions and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements within financial services across multiple jurisdictions. Proficiency in data analytics, including SQL, Power BI, and Python.
You have 5+ years’ relevant work experience with a holistic and solid understanding of being in a second line function in a banking landscape, including insight into payment services, normally experience from a similar position. You own strong knowledge of capital, liquidity, credit, and market risk frameworks.
You have experience with multi-jurisdictional (EU and UK) regulatory environments, including ECB, CSSF, FCA, and PRA guidelines. You possess extensive knowledge of risk measurement systems and concept as well as to establish relevant Risk and Internal Control Frameworks. Proven track record and experience working within the risk management area.
You have knowledge in SQL, PowerBI, and general proficiency in data analysis and management.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
You possess excellent communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders across different business units, ideally experience with key financial risk functions, including proven track record with Treasury, Credit and Liquidity functions.
As a person you are able to take ownership / assume responsibility, be pro-active, open minded, rigorous, as well as a fast learner with a dynamic personality.
You have a ‘questioning’ mind-set, naturally propose new ways of working and strive for constant improvement in current processes.
You have strong analytical and communicational skills with the ability to present complex (technical) matters in a simple / understandable way.
You are flexible and adaptable able to take on unstructured assignments, able to differentiate what is important, develop appropriate action plans and demonstrate ownership.
You have the ability to display good judgement, think ahead, anticipate questions and prioritise work tasks appropriately.
