Senior Auditor

£20.98 per hour

Full Time - Temporary

Calderdale - West Yorkshire

Hybrid role - Working from home and designated council.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a CCAB qualified Accountant or AAT qualification (or recognised auditing qualification)

Main Duties:

1. Undertake detailed examination of systems and transactions in order to:
2. ensure financial probity;
3. improve the standard of control and provision of information for management;
4. identify areas where efficiency savings could be achieved;
5. ensure that Council policies are being complied with;
6. evaluate controls and facilitate their development and maintenance throughout the Authority.

Purpose of the Role:
Performing and reporting on systems, governance and financial audits as allocated by the Audit Manager. Where appropriate, in the absence of the Audit Manager, to assist in the management of the audit service.
