Job description

Ashton Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Final Assembly Supervisor for our client based in Ballynahinch.

Role: Final Assembly Supervisor

Location: Ballynahinch

Rate of pay: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience + 50p per hour timekeeping bonus on completion of 40 hpw

Hours of work: 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4pm Friday (40hpw)

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee final assembly process
  • Job planning with existing team
  • Work closely with suppliers, operators and other internal departments to manage stock
  • Oversee quality tests, pre dispatch
  • Implementation of LEAN tools and principles
  • Stock control and administration.

Essential criteria:

  • Good communication and planning skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and general PC functions
  • Engineering and/or manufacturing skills
  • Full UK driving license or equivalent
  • Forklift truck experience

Desirable Experience:

  • Engineering qualification
  • Previous experience of leadership / management
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles
  • Previous experience in a similar environment, however additional training will be provided
