Job Description

Teledyne has a defined strategy to achieve growth both organically and through acquisition. In this environment, the role of the group reporting team becomes increasingly critical in ensuring the provision of high-quality financial information.

The purpose of this role is to provide a dedicated, centralised specialist resource within the Group Reporting team to manage the accounting for a variety of the Group subsidiaries. Delivering improved financial control and reporting for these entities as well as being responsible for the Group intercompany reconciliation process.

Main Accountabilities

• Responsibility for monthly accounting of various Teledyne holding companies. This includes monthly processing of journals, purchase orders, GL reconciliations, rolling forecast reporting and annual budget preparation.
• Responsibility for Teledyne and local statutory reporting compliance and liaison with internal and external auditors.
• Managing the processing of intercompany recharges and the intercompany reconciliation process.
• Preparing and supporting the holding companies tax reporting requirements, including the preparation of reporting packs and VAT returns. Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes and supplemental reporting.
• DALSA/e2v group lease accounting entries & reporting for US GAAP.
• Ensuring the business operates within the financial controls and procedures set by the Group (SOX 404).

Essential Experience

• Previous experience of financial accounting in a medium to large organisation, or within practice.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Strong team player with a flexible and can-do approach.
• A self-starter with the desire to get under the skin of existing processes and to suggest and drive improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Minimum Intermediate level Microsoft application skills such as Word and Excel.
• Previous experience of SAP would be beneficial.
