If you are an ambitious planning professional looking for a new challenge in tunnelling construction and would like to help shape the future of STRABAG, then please read the below job description.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the Planning Function for STRABAG as Principal Contractor for HARP (Haweswater Aqueduct Replacement Programme).
  • Help to build, mentor, develop, and support the Project Planning team to drive the project.
  • Maintain a robust and realistic contract programme.
  • Ensure compliance with Divisional procedures and contractual requirements are maintained.
  • Work with the SMT team to deliver a culture of collaboration, communication, and best-for-project outcomes within STRABAG, our suppliers, and client representatives.
  • Ensure there is confidence in the programme from all parties, and present appropriately to demonstrate this as required.
  • Support the collation of data for reporting, forecasting, and trend analysis.
  • Maintain overall staff/operative and plant forecasting management tools.
  • Ensure that risks are identified, understood, and mitigated insofar as possible.
  • Be the subject-matter specialist and promote the Function vision of excellence, adding value and collaboration.
  • Be proactive in manner - predict and resolve problems before they become issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in Civil Engineering, Building, and Utilities.
  • Clear understanding of commercial and contractual forms of contract.
  • Computer literate and excellent working knowledge of Planning Software.
  • Chartered Civil Engineer (preferred).
  • Membership of Professional Institution.
