Teacher

As a Class Teacher and under the reasonable direction of the Head Teacher, you will carry out the professional duties of a teacher as outlined in the job description.

You will ensure provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the curriculum area, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies. You will contribute to raising standards of student attainment and facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. You will develop and enhance the teaching practice of others and monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the curriculum area.

Educated to Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.

About us - Wessex Lodge School is growing!

Wessex Lodge School currently comprises two sites: Wessex Lodge School located in Frome, and Newmead Farm, located in Maiden Bradley. Both sites allow students the opportunity to explore the curriculum alongside a range of subject paths, including animal care, horticulture, DT, and forest school, as well as sporting activities.

Our students are aged between 8 and 18 years old. Each student has individual needs, and supported by the THRIVE approach, through a proven range of practitioner-led services and our talented staff, we can help to improve life outcomes for every student.

The established staff team comes from a variety of previous occupations and has a vast range of individual skills that can be utilized within this school.
