Contract Role - IBM MQ Engineer/Consultant/SME - Contract - Leeds/Manchester/Edinburgh/Hybrid - 06 Months Initial


We are currently seeking a skilled IBM MQ Engineer/Consultant/SME who will work closely with the Technical Lead and key stakeholders to implement and drive the technology roadmap, while also collaborating with wider Middleware teams to develop, implement and promote process improvements.


Role Overview:

  1. Job Title: IBM MQ Engineer/Consultant/SME
  2. Location: Leeds/Manchester/Edinburgh/Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)
  3. Contract Type: Contract
  4. Duration: 06 - 12 months initially
  5. Sector: Banking

Requirements:

  1. Must be based locally in one of these locations: Leeds/Manchester/Edinburgh
  2. Proven track record as MQ Engineer/Consultant/SME with at least 8-10 years of experience in a production support/maintenance role working on Incident/Problem and Change
  3. Be able to work outside of regular office hours as needed to perform essential tasks and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  4. Extensive experience managing SSL certificates across complex and diverse environments, ensuring their proper configuration, renewal, and troubleshooting.
  5. Proven track record in managing SSL certificate life cycle, including but not limited to certificate creation, renewal, revocation, and validation.
  6. Setup security on the WebSphere MQ Servers as well as the queues and applications that access WebSphere MQ
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
