R&D Technologist - FTC 12 months

Overview

PepsiCo is looking for R&D Technologist to join on 12 months Fixed Term Contract in Leicester, UK.

R&D Technologist accomplish activities within the DtV and VE team, to support delivery of multiple projects/programmes led by Project Managers and Platform Development Manager, including prototyping, supporting & leading trials and providing technical support for the team (TSG, Specifications, ZBR’s, data analysis, samples management).

Responsibilities

• To plan, organise, execute and communicate assigned specific project components under guidance of line manager whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Support organization, samples management and data analysis from plant trials.
• Apply R&D project timelines & processes e.g. TSG ensuring compliance to these under guidance of line manager.
• Draft R&D technical data such as product specifications, process specification and finished pack standards with approval from Project Managers/Platform Development Manager.
• Work closely with R&D functions to ensure legal, nutritional and food safety compliance.
• Develop and prepare prototype samples under the direction of the Project Managers/Platform Development Manager using safe and best practice operation of bench and pilot scale equipment.
• Assume ownership for a food processing area, ensuring all Food Safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Graduate in a Food Science or related subject.
• At least 1-2 years experience in FMCG environment with experience of Food Safety standards.
