Job summary

Our client, a London-based local authority in East London, is currently seeking a TRO Officer to join their team.

Experience with writing/drafting Temporary or Permanent Traffic Orders

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Network Management Team, developers, and contractors to facilitate projects.
  2. Produce Permanent and Temporary Traffic Orders/Notices and assist in service area development.
  3. Handle the processing and provision of Temporary Traffic Restriction Orders/Notices as per legislation.
  4. Assist in the legal provision of public highway events, ensuring legal compliance and correct order placement.
  5. Attend site meetings, agree on Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs), and produce traffic orders and notices for special events.
  6. Install street notices on-site.
  7. Work in collaboration with the Senior Engineer.
  8. Work on-site for part of the week and remotely for the remainder.
  9. Write and prepare traffic orders remotely.
  10. Must be familiar with Mayrise or One.Network software.
  11. Contribute to the digitisation of TTROs and TROs in partnership with One Network.
Job Requirements
  1. Significant experience in writing traffic orders.
  2. Understanding of Permanent and Temporary Traffic Orders/Notices.
  3. Strong knowledge of traffic management legislation and order delivery.
  4. Excellent organisational skills for managing a busy workload.
  5. Effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.
  6. Experience in facilitating projects with developers and contractors.
