The Role

As an Outreach Tutor, you will:

  1. Deliver one-to-one tuition in English and Maths up to GCSE/Functional Skills level.
  2. Inspire and motivate students, helping them to overcome challenges and build confidence.
  3. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and schools to ensure progress and engagement.
  4. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each learner.
  5. Use a range of resources, including educational technology, to enhance learning experiences.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with SEN students.
  • A strong understanding of Literacy and Numeracy, with the ability to teach up to GCSE level.
  • QTS (QTLS), PGCE, or a degree in Education, English, Maths, or a related subject (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for education.
  • A current Enhanced DBS certificate.
