Salary: up to £60,000

Client Overview - Site Manager:

Our client is a highly regarded civil engineering and building company, delivering high-quality construction and infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland. With a strong reputation for investing in their people and offering a rewarding work environment, they are seeking a Site Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing waste and clean water infrastructure projects, including pipelines and pumping stations, ensuring project success while developing professionally with the support of the framework team.

Purpose of the Role - Site Manager:

The Site Manager will oversee the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects, ensuring effective site management, risk minimisation, and positive stakeholder engagement. The role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and the ability to interpret construction drawings accurately while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Key Accountabilities - Site Manager:

  1. Read, interpret, and communicate construction drawings for site layouts, material measurements, and more.
  2. Ensure accurate setting out, providing precise lines, levels, and reference points on-site.
  3. Influence site progress to meet programme deadlines.
  4. Develop strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  5. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards.
  6. Continuously develop industry knowledge and implement best practices across the project.
  7. Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
  8. Perform additional duties as necessary for the success of the project.

Competency Requirements - Site Manager:

  1. Ability to take initiative and responsibility, managing projects from start to finish.
  2. Deadline-driven, motivating your team to achieve key targets.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability on-site.

Technical/Professional Expertise and Qualifications - Site Manager:

  1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related qualification with 5+ years of relevant on-site experience.
  2. Experience within the clean water/wastewater sector is essential.
  3. Proficiency in numeracy and IT, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  4. Full UK driving licence.
