Academics LTD is partnering with a range of excellent secondary schools in and around the Devizes area, all of which are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to join in January 2025. We are looking for proactive, hardworking, and enthusiastic individuals to oversee lessons and support students' learning while maintaining high standards of behaviour in the absence of regular teachers.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for those with previous experience in education or for graduates aspiring to start a career in teaching. A requirement for this position is a GCSE in Maths or English (C or above). There are also opportunities to support SEN children, which is perfect for anyone with an interest in or passion for special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage student behaviour to create a constructive learning environment
2. Oversee the work set by the class teacher
3. Act as a role model and develop positive relationships with students and staff
4. Ensure the safeguarding and health and safety of all students

The Ideal Cover Supervisor Will Have:

1. Previous experience working in a school setting (preferred)
2. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
3. A passion for supporting students in their learning
4. The ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment
