Job description

Your contribution to our company
  • Provide support and advice to the HARP project team on all matters of noise and vibration. Assist with ensuring the compliance of construction works with client and stakeholder requirements & consents relevant to noise and vibration.
  • Preparation and input into noise and vibration management plans. Provide briefings and training where necessary to convey noise and vibration information on the project.
  • Preparation of Section 61 consent applications, dispensations and variations, including the noise modelling and predictions as well as text required for the consents.
  • Liaison with the delivery team programmers, construction managers and engineers to understand the works programme, plant requirements, and methodology to prepare consent applications. Provide advice and recommendations regarding Best Practicable Means and measures to reduce noise and vibration.
  • Manage monitoring subcontract deliverables, budget, change, and risk.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including local authorities regarding noise and vibration, monitoring and consents. Attend meetings with local authorities to discuss the construction works, consents and monitoring.
  • Assist with managing noise and vibration risk on the project, applying applicable mitigations & communicating these to all relevant parties. Continuously seek ways to reduce impact through improved technology, awareness & education and behavioural management.
  • Analysis of monitoring data, including modelling where necessary.
  • Ensure employees are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities and understand the requirements of the Group Environmental Procedures and Guidance Notes.
  • Writing, reviewing and maintaining EMS documentation for the UK business.
  • Identify significant environmental impacts for contracts and help set-up contracts to include appropriate controls.
  • Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with legislation, company procedures and contract requirements.
  • Identify employees that require environmental training, provide relevant training and maintain records of training provided.
  • Supporting tender writing and preparation.
  • Support and lead on incident investigation where required.
  • Provide Project Managers, the Head of Environment and Director of Environment & Sustainability, with regular and accurate details on matters associated with Noise and Vibration affecting their contracts.
  • Support the Head of Environment and Director of Environment & Sustainability in the delivery of the Group Assurance Programme.
  • Undertake internal Business Unit / Project audits as required.
