Company Overview:

An award-winning engineering company based in Derby (Derbyshire, East Midlands) that produces top-class products and high-quality technology for industries such as Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Manufacturing, and many more is now seeking to hire a brand-new Electronics Development Engineer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity as the Electronics Development Engineer will have a route to grow into a Team lead for career progression.

Salary and Working Conditions:

The salary on offer for the successful Electronics Development Engineer is £50,000 - £80,000 per annum. For the first 6 months of onboarding, the role will be full-time in the office 5 days a week, then will transition to hybrid working of 3 days onsite and 2 days WFH. Sponsorship is available.

The Role:

The ideal Electronics Development Engineer will have a strong background in electronics for complex systems. The role will involve designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electronics architecture for the company’s high-quality products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3-5+ years minimum industry experience
• PCB Design & Schematic Capture
• Exposure or knowledge of Altium - not essential, but desirable
• Embedded Software programming in C
• Experience of VHDL for FPGA designs
• Experience with FPGA development tools
• Experience with electronics simulation tools
• Enthusiastic, motivated, with good problem-solving skills
• Good team player with strong communication skills

Benefits Package:

• Normal holiday entitlement is 26 days plus bank holidays a year, including office closure days over the Christmas period.
• Pension scheme with an 8% contribution (3% from the employer and 5% from the employee).
• Discretionary bonus scheme – 5% of salary.

• Normal working hours equate to 37.5 hours per week, with flexitime available and core hours between 9.00 am and 3.45 pm (3.00 pm on Fridays).
