Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Job Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering educational programmes
• Assisting with planning and preparing learning activities
• Working with small groups of students to reinforce learning concepts
• Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour monitoring
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Understanding of educational principles and practices
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Good organisational and time management skills
• First Aid certification
• Additional relevant qualifications in education or child development

Working Conditions

• Work primarily within a school setting
• Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
• Potential for some additional evening or weekend work for school events
