We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Community Consultant Paediatrician to join our Community Specialist Children's service based at Alexandra Avenue clinic.
This is an ideal opportunity for a driven paediatrician to complement our team of supportive and experienced community paediatricians in improving the health and well-being of children, young people and families in Harrow.
This post has been advertised following the previous post holder moving to another post and includes responsibilities in neurodevelopmental paediatrics and safeguarding. The service is looking to appoint an individual who has the vision, drive, and commitment to work flexibly and is passionate about caring for children in Harrow.
You will be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview.

The job plan will consider the needs of the service and experience and interest of applicants.
The post holder will join a team of four consultant community paediatricians and four paediatric registrars committed to the delivery of a high-quality service to CYP in Harrow. The team works closely with paediatric therapists and community nurses and has well-established shared care pathways with Northwick Park Hospital acute services. The team is committed to interagency working and co-operation with social services and the local Education Department.
We welcome applications from experienced community paediatricians as well as paediatricians with a recent CCT. There is an opportunity to develop innovative care for children with complex neurodisability.
The team has a strong commitment to training and personal development, so the post holder will be expected to participate in the teaching and training of all professional groups within the Child Health Service. Currently, the team contributes to the hospital paediatric Grand rounds and epilepsy meetings, the neurodisability meetings at GOSH, and the quarterly joint teaching with Ealing, Hillingdon, Milton Keynes, and Brent community paediatrics.

We also deliver community physical health services in a number of boroughs in NW London, including Hillingdon, Harrow, Ealing, and the neighbouring System of North Central London.
You will always be part of a dynamic and experienced Community Paediatric Team of Paediatricians with an excellent skill mix who provide a full range of community paediatric services. The team currently comprises 4 Consultants and 4 Paediatric Specialist Registrars working in Community Paediatrics.
