- To provide efficient, accurate, confidential and pro-active HR support to TheCityUK.
- To support the Director, HR in the co-ordination of various HR projects.
- To provide HR support to the Financial Services Skills Commission (FSSC) for up to 2 days per month.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process from authorisation through to onboarding. This will include management of relevant recruitment systems, reporting and adherence to our HR policies and procedures. It may also include the coordination of sponsorship paperwork for visas on occasion.
- Liaise with relevant line managers to arrange work experience opportunities, intern placements and secondees. Undertake the necessary processes to ensure risk assessments and relevant work time regulation legislation is complied with during work placements.
- Prepare contracts of employment, including fixed term contracts, consultancies, extension letters and any changes to terms letters for signing by Director, HR.
- Support the Director, Financial Management on all payroll related queries and keep appropriate payroll documentation in order.
- Assist the Director, HR with the preparation of annual salary and variable pay letters.
- Oversee and coordinate a professional and timely induction process.
- Co-ordinate the probation process, including sourcing 360 probation feedback and the preparation of relevant documentation.
- Assist the Director, Financial Management & Director, HR in the administration of the various benefit schemes and the regular communication about the benefit schemes to existing and prospective employees.
- Assist the Director, HR with the co-ordination of the family-friendly leave processes.
- Organise training & development, including the identification of suitable training providers, maintain training needs analysis data and assessment of training effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate diversity data for all employees and support engagement activities across the organisation.
- Assist with the rollout of the Performance Management timetable, ensuring managers complete relevant reviews within agreed deadlines.
- Manage the exit process for voluntary leavers. This will include the coordination of exit interviews and leaver documentations in line with HR policies and procedures.
- Assist staff with basic level employment queries.
- Stay updated on employment law changes and help maintain current HR documentation for TheCityUK and FSSC.
- Provide a range of administrative support to the Director, HR e.g. meeting arrangements, HR expense processing and room bookings.

This role has a high level of interaction with internal staff and external parties. In many cases, this role holder will provide the first line of contact on behalf of TheCityUK so a professional, courteous and confident approach is essential at all times.
Person Specification
- Has gained experience across a range of HR functions, including recruitment.
- Experience using and maintaining HR systems.
- Studying or interest to study CPP or CIPD qualification.
- Accurate writing, high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with automated recruitment and talent management systems would be an advantage.
- Administrative skills, including meeting scheduling and drafting correspondence.
- Highly organised, prioritises effectively, escalates as needed.
- Interprets HR policy and proposes solutions, showing initiative and innovative thinking.
