The 3-year apprentice programme will initially cover maintenance, repair and inspections of the Renault Trucks range, and will be completed with the development of your skills in complex vehicle diagnostics and electric vehicle systems.
As an apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience in a dealer workshop and receive on-the-job training under the guidance of a skilled mentor. Training: Your training will take place at the state-of-the-art Renault Trucks UK Training Academy in Whetstone, Leicester. This modern facility features a spacious workshop with industry-standard equipment. In addition to block release training at the Academy, you'll undergo regular assessments and reviews in your workplace to ensure you have the skills needed to successfully complete your apprenticeship.
A Typical Day: You'll be based in the workshop, learning all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance. This includes vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, major component overhauls, and electrical fault diagnostics. You'll cover units such as:
Requirements and Prospects: To complete the apprenticeship, you must pass Level 1 English and Maths (or have an exemption certificate) and work towards this level before the end-point assessment.
