English Teacher

Their English department is passionate about literature and language, and we are looking for an inspiring teacher to join their team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students develop strong literacy skills and a love for English literature and language. This role begins May 2025.

Duties as an English Teacher:

• Inspire and challenge students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to engage students in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of engaging resources.
• Support extracurricular activities, such as writing clubs, debating societies, and theatre productions.
• Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare of all students.

Ideal English Teacher:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching English.
• Has a strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
• Is an effective communicator who can inspire and engage students.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and differentiation skills as an English Teacher.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider English department.
• Is committed to continuous professional development and innovative teaching practices.
