Job description

Dining at Glyndebourne, Lewes, provides exceptional dining experiences across three restaurants at the stunning Glyndebourne Opera House. From fine dining to our Modern Plant forward restaurant, working with the finest seasonal British produce is what we believe in.

We are seeking Chef de Partie to work with us from May to August. In return we offer a competitive hourly rate, minimum of 45 hours a week (More or less available if desired) and meals on duty. As a chef at Glyndebourne you will work closely with our Area chef Steve Groves, Winner of Masterchef: The Professionals and National Chef Of The Year and Executive Head Chef Lee Redman who recently won Senior Chef of the Year and his Senior team to deliver a world class offering befitting of the incredible location. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within your speciality
  • Assisting the head chef and sous chef in creating menu items, recipes, and developing dishes
  • Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
  • Managing and training any junior staff working with you
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to adapt to changing workloads and priorities
  • Relevant culinary qualifications preferred
