An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Academy Physiotherapist to support the Medical Department in delivering essential physiotherapy services to young athletes. This role involves attending training sessions and matches, providing rehabilitation, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding regulations. Ideal candidates will have a degree in physiotherapy, excellent communication skills, and a flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends. Based at the Training Ground in Hurworth, Darlington, the main purpose of this role is to support the Medical Department in delivering a physiotherapy service to Academy level players, predominantly U9-U16s in clinic cover, rehab planning and match cover, alongside supporting PDP players as instructed by the Head Academy Physiotherapist.
Please note that this post falls within the scope of ‘regulated activity’ and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check and are required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings that are not ‘protected’ as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exemptions) Act 1975.
