FINANCE DEPARTMENT
Principal MANAGEMENT Accountant
Band 7 £48,788 to £56,747 per annum
plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 per annum
37 hour per week

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance Team as Principal Management Accountant.
You will provide specialist knowledge, expertise, advice and information to all levels of management in respect of financial matters thus enabling them to achieve economic and efficient use of resources. You will lead a small team reporting on all aspects of NHS Western Isles revenue spend and contribute towards the development of the management accounting capability.
You will be an experienced and professionally qualified accountant with current membership of a CCAB body. You will have significant experience in the use of computerised financial systems and highly developed financial knowledge and ability across the range of key result areas. You will bring experience of financial analysis and modelling and detailed understanding of accounting procedures with sound analytical and good reporting skills. Experience of budgeting, budgetary control and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial managers is essential.
Based in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, you will be at the heart of some of the UK's most spectacular scenery, while being only a short journey from Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh.
