Audit Manager

Are you an experienced audit professional looking for a leadership role in a forward-thinking firm?

A well-established accountancy and advisory firm in Derby is looking for an Audit Manager to join their growing team.

With a strong reputation for proactive client support and expert financial guidance, this firm provides a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to step into a leadership role.

Role Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of audit clients, overseeing the entire process from planning to completion
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of ABS staff, ensuring work is completed to a high standard
  • Optimising team performance, meeting or exceeding billing and utilisation targets
  • Collaborating with other ABS Managers to ensure efficient use of resources across the department
  • Providing advisory and support services for accounting software such as Sage and Xero
  • Working closely with Directors, identifying opportunities to offer additional value to clients
  • Handling ad-hoc advisory projects, providing expert financial insight and support
  • Building strong client relationships, becoming their trusted advisor for financial and business matters

The Ideal Candidate
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with proven experience in an Audit Manager role
  • Experience working with a variety of audit clients, particularly owner-managed businesses
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in mentoring and coaching teams
  • A client-focused approach, with a passion for delivering high-quality service
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, able to handle multiple priorities
  • A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to develop and progress
