Shipping Coordinator

Our international client located in Wimbledon is excited to expand its well-established and vibrant Fine Art Shipping team.

This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about Fine Art and eager to progress with a career in Logistics.

While candidates with experience in Airfreight, Shipping, Logistics, or import and export are preferred, our client is also receptive to diverse backgrounds, including Registrars, Gallery Coordinators, or similar Fine Art professionals keen to demonstrate their capabilities with Logistics.

Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: 30k to 35k

Location: Wimbledon

Hours: Monday - Friday (Office Based)

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure that all practical arrangements for export and import shipments are made; liaising with clients, working with transport, packing and storage departments to this end.
• To complete Export & import documentation for Airfreight, sea freight & exhibition shipments.
• Ensuring all quotations and invoices are completed within a timely manner.
• Ensuring all clients are kept informed as to all stages of their shipments and receive all relevant copy documentation.
• Where necessary and when requested by client, to oversee other aspects of shipping processes including; local / storage / import work.
• To attend operations meetings.
• To maintain and update internal shared documents covering all imports.
• To comply with the requirements within Staff Operations Handbook and Quality Management System.
• To arrange collections and deliveries with the client in consultation with the transport manager and make practical arrangements directly with our clients to ensure smooth collections and deliveries as required.
• To arrange packing as required in a suitable manner, supplying packing room department with full packing sheets and relevant information.

Desirable

• Previous experience within Airfreight, Import/Export, Shipping
• Exceptional problem solving and customer skills
• Previous understanding of support Art Fairs
• Understanding of the Logistics, Fine Art, Customs or Transport sectors
• Experience in coordinating luxury goods or services.
