Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Café & Wine Bar Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both coffee and wine service, with the ability to lead a team and maintain high standards of customer service throughout the day and into the evening.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daytime Café Operations:
   1. Oversee daily café operations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality coffee and food offerings.
   2. Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks with expertise, including espresso-based beverages, pour-overs, and more.
   3. Train and mentor baristas, ensuring consistency in coffee preparation and service.
   4. Manage inventory and ordering for coffee and café-related supplies.
2. Evening Wine Bar Operations:
   1. Lead the transition from café to wine bar, ensuring a smooth shift in atmosphere and service style.
   2. Provide expert guidance on our wine selection, offering recommendations and ensuring a memorable experience for guests.
   3. Supervise evening staff, including bartenders and servers, to maintain excellent service standards.
   4. Assist in curating and updating the wine list in collaboration with the management team.
3. Team Leadership:
   1. Lead by example, offering hands-on support across all areas of the business.
   2. Conduct regular team meetings, providing feedback and fostering a positive work environment.
   3. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and a focus on resolution.
4. Administrative Duties:
   1. Assist in scheduling staff and managing timekeeping.
   2. Monitor and report on daily sales, working with the management team to achieve financial targets.
   3. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a supervisor or senior barista in a café environment, with knowledge of specialty coffee.
2. Strong wine knowledge, with previous experience in a wine bar or similar setting preferred.
3. Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for hospitality.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
6. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
