Applications Engineer

Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer required to join a leading global engineering manufacturer.

The successful Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, assisting with product selection, preparing quotations, and ensuring customers receive the best engineering solutions for their pump applications.

The Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have experience in engineering applications, technical support, or sales within pumps or rotating equipment, with CAD and ERP/CRM proficiency.

Package:

1. £35,000 - £43,000 depending on experience

Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer Role

1. Analyse customer requirements to recommend tailored mechanical pump products & solutions.
2. Provide technical support, troubleshooting and product recommendations for various pumps to customers and internal teams.
3. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and ensure compliance with industry standards for pump and rotating equipment applications.
4. Collaborate with R&D and production teams to enhance pump products and develop new solutions.
5. Support sales teams with technical expertise on mechanical pumps during customer meetings and events.
6. Liaise with various engineering departments.

Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer Requirements

1. Experience as an Applications Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar within the pump or rotating equipment industry.
2. Strong knowledge of fluid handling systems, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, fluid power, or similar rotating equipment. Full training provided.
3. Proficiency in CAD software or similar engineering design software.
4. Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems such as SAP or Salesforce is desirable.
5. Technical mechanical engineering degree, HND, BEng or similar is advantageous.
6. Willingness to travel for customer visits and sales support when required.
