Shift Plant Operator - Leicestershire

A Biomass Gasification facility in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced Shift Plant Operator to join their team. The role of a Shift Plant Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operations while completing equipment checks and reporting to the Shift Team Leader.

Your responsibilities as a Shift Plant Operator will include:

1. Follow all company policies and procedures, and supervise contractors on-site.
2. Use SCADA/DCS to monitor plant parameters, control fuel stocks, and optimise plant performance.
3. Maintain accurate records and report environmental incidents to management.
4. Implement company health and safety policies, and ensure high standards of housekeeping.
5. Provide shift cover as needed and work as part of a 24/7 shift rota.

Requirements:

1. ONC/NVQ level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline, with hands-on experience in heavy industries.
2. Strong understanding of process flow and experience with SCADA systems.
3. Familiarity with incineration, power, or similar industries.
4. Good numeracy skills, ability to interpret spreadsheets, and confident use of IT tools like Word and Excel.

What this is offering:

A salary of £40,000 to £41,000 per annum.
