Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent CNC Turner for an engineering company in Verwood that has a long and established reputation for customer excellence and responsiveness in the supply of complex, quality critical precision machined components and related assemblies.

The successful CNC Turner (Fanuc) will be responsible for the manufacture of quality parts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Run, set & operate CNC Turning (Lathes) Machine Centres
  2. Setting tools & producing components
  3. Loading/unloading of CNC machine tools and fixtures
  4. Ability to select, set and change tools
  5. Working on highly technical products to tight tolerances
  6. Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and policy
  7. Complete necessary daily documents such as Time Sheets

Key Areas required:
  1. Time Served
  2. Excellent communication
  3. Good Engineering Background
  4. Ability to Program at the Machine Control
  5. Ability to inspect own work
  6. Programming in Fanuc
  7. Manual Turning experience
  8. Experience of CNC lathes
  9. Ability to read engineering drawings
  10. Ability to work to fine tolerances
  11. Flexibility with regard to shifts and over-time

Hours: 39 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 7:30am- 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am- 12:30pm
Salary: up to £23 per hour depending on experience
Occasional overtime: at x1.33 (start early or finish later)
