UPP Residential Services primarily delivers a full range of Facilities Management (FM) and Asset Management services to the university sector. At each of the universities we partner with, we supply a local team that successfully manages and delivers the agreed services. The team provides the day-to-day face of the partnership, offering a high level of customer service plus effective and efficient facilities management, ensuring every aspect is delivered to high standards and supporting the student experience.

We currently have a great opportunity for a Heavy-Duty Cleaner to join our team.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 15 hours per week, 8am – 6pm Thursday and Friday. The salary is £9,392.40 per annum with the opportunity for overtime.
Please note that this role will be primarily responsible for undertaking the heavy lifting and removal of student refuse (general, recycling, and glass bottles) from the kitchens. Most areas only have stair access, and the role requires high levels of manual handling.
Role responsibilities include:
We are looking for you to already have experience of heavy-duty / deep cleaning in a similar environment and have great communication and organisation skills, along with an attention to detail and the passion to always do an excellent job.
You will need to have a good conversational standard of the English language and an ability to read and interpret our Health & Safety guidance. You will also be flexible to work (with notice) additional hours when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
A current Driving Licence is also essential for this role.
