Please note that this is an apprenticeship position and therefore anyone with more than six months professional experience working as a data analyst or who holds a degree or Master’s degree in a subject such as Data Science, Business Analytics or Maths will not be eligible.

You will also need to commit to completing a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.

SUMMARY:

Zayo Europe is looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and diligent Data Analyst Apprentice to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in data analysis and gain valuable experience in the Telecom sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Establish reporting needs and deliver insightful and accurate information.
2. Collect, compile and cleanse data.
3. Identify business problems and present insights to influence actions.
4. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets.
5. Summarise and present the results of data analysis to a range of stakeholders, making recommendations.
6. Interrogate and analyse data to root-cause data quality issues.
7. Support automation initiatives to enhance data processing and reporting.
8. Participate in cross-functional discussions to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Strong analytical skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make sound recommendations.
2. Attention to detail & ability to meet deadlines.
3. Strong work ethic and ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload.
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal & organizational skills.
5. Ability to build positive relationships.
6. Ability to follow instructions, to work both independently and as part of a team.
7. Possess a keen attitude, a willingness to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 7 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 or A-C, including English and Mathematics.
2. 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grades A*-C in any subject but preferably one in a numerical or computing subject.

Salary: £21,000 + company bonus scheme

Location: We are based at 114 Whitechapel High Street | London, E1 7PT. The successful applicant will be required to attend our offices at least 2 days per week though all employees are welcome to work from the office on other days.
