Fitness Instructor - Casual - Blackbridge Community and Sports Hub

From swimming lessons to walking football and everything in between, we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

Introducing the all-new Blackbridge Community and Sports Hub, located in the Podsmead area of Gloucester city! This exciting fitness facility is currently under construction and is due to open early 2025. It features modern studios, versatile multi-use spaces, and a full-size 3G pitch. Working in partnership with the Blackbridge Charitable Community Benefit Society to ensure these fantastic facilities serve as a central hub for the local community.

We are seeking highly skilled and motivating Fitness Instructors to join our team at Freedom Leisure. As industry experts on the front line, the personalities, skills, and knowledge of our Fitness Instructors are key to our customers achieving their objectives through providing personalised advice and guidance (both one-to-one and in group exercise classes). To be successful, they must possess outstanding interpersonal and motivational skills, be at least level 2 gym instructor qualified, and be insistent on consistently delivering a first-class service.

The good thing is that we provide you with full training and great potential for career progression; we have over 100 facilities across England and Wales – many of our staff have built successful careers with us because they love having a positive impact in their local communities and enjoy the variety that the role provides.

Hours: Casual hours, as and when required.

1. To assist and support the gym users with exercise queries and programs on a day-to-day basis.
2. To provide the highest standards of customer service and safety at all times in accordance with the policies, procedures, and systems.
3. To instruct fitness sessions, at various levels of ability on both a group and individual basis.
4. Professional related fitness qualification.
5. Outgoing personality with a can-do attitude.
6. Minimum of a Level 2 fitness qualification.
