Job description

Mechanical / Electro Mechanical Assemblers

Company are based in Alresford, Hampshire

£13.00-£14.00 per hour

Full time: Mon-Thurs 8-5, Fri 8-3

We are working for a well-established manufacturer of precision instruments who, due to expansion, are looking to recruit individuals to join their busy manufacturing team in Alresford.

The products they manufacture involve assembly work, sometimes using hand tools which require a keen eye for detail, manual dexterity, and accuracy in order to maintain the quality of our brand.

Minimum Requirements:

Ideally, the candidate will have worked within a Production environment and have previous experience in a light mechanical or electromechanical assembly environment. Candidates need to be physically fit to carry out manual assembly operations and demonstrate the following attributes:

  1. Good manual dexterity.
  2. Good attention to detail.
  3. Good eyesight (with glasses if worn).
  4. Driven by quality and customer satisfaction.
  5. Works well alone and as part of a team.
  6. Self-motivated.
  7. Positive and reliable.

Responsibilities:

  1. Final assembly of products for delivery: light industrial assembly work using hand tools
  2. Managing sub-assembly production
  3. Scheduling and prioritisation of customer orders
  4. Quality checking, packing and handling shipping logistics
  5. Keeping an organised and tidy workspace
  6. Assist the Operations Manager in managing stock
