We're looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a varied and exciting engineering consultancy in the North East of England.
Our client offers comprehensive services in several sectors within the engineering and construction industries including Architectural Design, Civil & Structural Engineering, Geo-environmental Engineering, Project & Programme Management, and Cost Consultancy - this multidisciplinary approach allows the company to provide full construction solutions to developers, landlords, and occupiers across a diverse range of market sectors.
Responsibilities
- Undertake technical and feasibility studies and site investigations
- Assess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertake risk management in specialist roles
- Supervise tendering procedures and put together proposals
- Oversee the work of junior staff, or mentor civil engineers throughout the chartership process
- Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, consultants, co-workers and clients
- Think both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems
- Compile, check and approve reports
- Review and approve project drawings
Requirements
- Relevant degree (Bachelors or Chartership) in Civil/Structural engineering
- Significant experience across a range of Civil Engineering projects
