CNC Setter / Operator

We are currently recruiting a CNC Setter/Operator to operate and set parts and components programmed in CAM, to be manufactured on 5 Axis CNC Machines.

Benefits:

1. Salary between £32,000 to £34,000
2. Private medical insurance after 6 month probationary
3. Pension: 5% employee, 3% employer

5. Holiday: 31 days (inclusive of bank holidays)
6. Monday to Thursday - 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday - 8:30am to 4:00pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Operating and setting of HAAS 3 and 5 Axis
2. Setting tooling/work-holding for jobs
3. Operating CNC machines, ensuring parts are to drawing and making any adjustments necessary to program
4. Changing out jobs, material and tooling for production
5. Cleaning and de-burring components from machining ready for inspection
6. Managing day-to-day production activities
7. Producing components efficiently to the required standards
8. Ensuring aspects of machine shop such as tooling, work holding and planning are continually developed
9. Stock control and material ordering

Skills/Experience Required:

1. Minimum of three years proven experience in a similar role/similar industry essential
2. HAAS/Fanuc experience, however other experience will be considered
3. Comprehensive experience with 5 Axis machining
4. Quoting machining time and component costing
5. Experience with machining various materials such as Aluminium, Mild steel and Stainless steel
6. Experience using cavity and custom form tools
