Senior Game Designer

Senior Games Designer - Salary of up to £70k with excellent benefits package

The ideal candidate will come from a background designing online slot machine / casino style games. This is a leadership position, and you will be responsible for overseeing the entire game delivery process, from conception to completion including the delivery of new games across new territories including overseas locations.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop new game concepts and present new game ideas and mechanics that align with the creative briefs.
2. Collaborate with the studio to ensure concept viability before further development.
3. Detail and document game requirements for production purposes.
4. Design games while adhering to current legislative requirements across targeted territories.
5. Work closely with the broader development team to creatively steer game production from concept to final product.

Skills and Experience:

1. You must come from a similar background having worked in the online gaming sector for at least 5 years and have a deep understanding of what makes these types of games enjoyable and engaging.
2. You should have previous work experience creating and delivering game titles into the online / interactive / casino style games.
3. It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the legislative requirements in overseas territories where new games will be released.
4. You should have a broad knowledge of current game types, including their structures, the mechanics, and the presentation standards across different markets.
5. Experience with visual design tools for game creation and storyboarding.
6. You will be required to communicate your new game concept ideas to the wider studio and production team including the documentation of this.
7. Preferably an understanding of mathematical game control methods and how these are implemented.
8. You should also be aware of the game approval process in different markets.
9. Occasionally you will be required to travel to these overseas territories, this should be twice per year and will be a fully funded trip.
10. Have previous experience working to deadlines and be prepared to work additional hours if necessary to help hit a deadline target.
11. Ideally you will have been working in an Agile environment and have experience with JIRA.
12. You must be UK passport holder.

Nice to have:

1. Experience creating and delivering online game titles in overseas territories such as North America.
2. C++ programming experience or similar.
3. A knowledge of Game engines such as Godot, Unity or Unreal.
