Transaction Monitoring Specialist

We are currently looking for a Transaction Monitoring Specialists to join our growing team in Belfast.

This is a hybrid position, with consultants being expected to work from our Belfast SDC up to 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include:

• Managing multiple queues of account screening and real-time transaction screening alerts
• Conducting thorough reviews of transactional histories for flagged accounts, taking appropriate actions, and refining rules as necessary
• Serving as an escalation point for complex transaction alerts
• Defining and implementing new transaction monitoring alerts for enhanced detection
• Filling Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
• Identifying opportunities to streamline or improve current processes

Qualifications

• Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
• Solid transaction monitoring experience, including writing/filing SARs directly to NCA
• Experience of working on investment banking projects, either directly for an investment bank, or working for a 3rd party providing consulting/outsourced services to an investment bank
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
• Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
