We are seeking applications from candidates with previous or transferable experience and skillsets to work in our team of Telecare Support Response Officers.
About the Service
SMART is a key service that provides a 24/7, 365-day alarm monitoring and response service to circa 6,000 vulnerable people. Service users have pendant alarms and other Telecare devices to request assistance in a crisis, e.g., where the client has fallen. SMART team officers monitor activations from clients and arrange assistance as necessary. Where it is appropriate to provide welfare assistance and support, a Telecare Support and Response Officer (TSRO) will be deployed. Due to the life-critical nature of the service, SMART works closely with the London Ambulance Service (LAS), the Police, and Fire Service from time to time.
Essential Requirements
You do not need to have been employed in this capacity before, but any experience or skills you may have gained in similar sectors, such as ambulance service, fire brigade, or other responder capacity, will be acceptable. In addition, to succeed in this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
