Description

I am currently working with an established marketing agency based in central Manchester. They are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant/Finance Manager for a permanent full-time position (37.5 hours). The key responsibilities are as follows:

• Maintain the cashbook and petty cash book, monitor cash receipts and payments, and prepare the weekly cash report.
• Prepare supplier payment runs.
• Process sales and purchase invoices from orders to invoices when required.
• Management of all the ledgers to meet the monthly reporting timetable.
• Provide monthly management information including management accounts and forecasts.
• Credit Control via phone and letter.
• Analyse expenses and identify areas for cost reduction.
• Prepare the quarterly VAT returns.
• Provide any ad-hoc financial work as required by the Finance Director.

Requirements:

• Advanced Excel skills including IF statements, macros, and lookups.
• Working towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualifications.
• Able to work and make progress autonomously.
