This is an excellent opportunity for a Head of Software Engineering who is looking for a 50/50 hands-on and team management role within a start-up where you will play a key role in product development, laying the foundations for future developers to build upon.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for working closely with the CEO and Directors to help build a clear and strategic plan for future product development. This role will entail a 50/50 split of both hands-on Flutter and Python mobile app development while simultaneously leading and mentoring a team of 8 developers. Ensuring that projects stay within timeframes and maintaining a high level of quality are key aspects of the role that will help the business stay on track to over-achieve its targets and aspirations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both managing high-performance teams within a fast-paced environment and a hands-on mobile development background. Equally, possessing a solid foundation in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Dart, Flutter, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles are crucial to the hands-on development side of this position.
