Job description

Senior Electronics Test Engineer

Location: Northampton

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits

A leader in innovative engineering solutions, dedicated to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Test Engineer to work on the analysis, measurement, repair, and testing of industrial electronics.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Carrying out diagnostics and repairs of electronic equipment used in industry, including work at component level (such as PLCs, HMI panels, CNC components, servo drives, UPS, PCBs, and others).
  2. Testing and optimising repaired equipment to ensure full functionality.
  3. Soldering and working with tools and measuring instruments.
  4. Creating and maintaining technical documentation of work performed, diagnoses, and spare parts used.
Skills and Responsibilities
  1. Relevant knowledge of electronic components.
  2. Experience of repairing electronic components at the component level.
  3. A passion for industrial electronics.
  4. Ability to recognise malfunctions and errors in measuring and testing equipment.
  5. Capability to correctly interpret measurement and test data.
